Vendors don't apply
There's no form to fill in and no package to buy. Listees are found through their work and their standing among the people who work beside them — planners, venues and fellow vendors. Asking to be included doesn't help; it's not that kind of list.
One standard, all five
Craft — the work is excellent by the standard of the best in their market. Conduct — other professionals vouch for what they're like to work alongside. Reliability — they show up, insured and prepared, and deliver what was sold. Taste — the work has a point of view. Standing — properly licensed, with no unresolved pattern of disputes. Four out of five is a no.
The year on the mark is the point
Runlisted status is for the current year and is re-reviewed annually. It's never permanent, which is why the badge carries a year — and why you can trust that a current mark means current standing.
Can a vendor pay to be on The Runlist?
No. Inclusion can't be bought, sponsored or traded at any price, and listings are never ordered by any commercial relationship.
How does a vendor get Runlisted?
They're found by the editorial review, or recommended by trade professionals who have actually worked events beside them. Recommendations are confidential and carry no guarantee.
Why is the list so short?
It stays short on purpose. Each market and category carries a cap, so once a market is full the only way in is being better than someone already on it. A list that includes everyone good is a list of no one special.
How often is it reviewed?
Every listing is re-reviewed annually, and standing can be reviewed mid-year on credible reports. A vendor removed at re-review is removed quietly.
